The Rain Bird US-400 UNI-Spray is a compact and reliable pop-up spray body designed for automatic irrigation of lawns, front gardens, planting beds and other landscaped areas. During irrigation, water pressure raises the stem above the surrounding surface before it retracts into the body when watering stops.

The UNI-Spray Series is designed as a compact and versatile solution for automatic irrigation systems. One of its distinctive features is the small exposed cover, measuring only approximately 3.2 cm in diameter. This allows the sprinkler to remain discreet and unobtrusive when installed in a lawn or landscaped area.

The Rain Bird US-400 is supplied without a nozzle, allowing you to select a suitable Rain Bird nozzle according to the size and shape of the irrigation area. The UNI-Spray body accepts Rain Bird nozzles, including VAN, HE-VAN, U-Series and other compatible nozzle ranges. This makes it possible to configure the sprinkler according to the required throw distance and watering pattern.

A pressure-activated wiper seal supports reliable stem operation while helping prevent excessive flow-by and water waste. It also helps keep debris from entering the sprinkler during retraction. The durable ratchet mechanism allows the stem and installed nozzle to be quickly aligned with the intended irrigation area.

Compact spray body for lawn irrigation

With its 10.2 cm pop-up height, the Rain Bird US-400 provides a practical standard height for automatic lawn irrigation. When the irrigation zone starts, the stem rises from the body and positions the installed nozzle above the surrounding grass. After irrigation, the stem retracts into the underground sprinkler body.

The compact 3.2 cm exposed cover makes the UNI-Spray particularly discreet after installation and allows it to blend neatly into lawns and landscaped areas.

Compatible nozzles for the Rain Bird US-400

The US-400 spray body is supplied without a nozzle and can be fitted with different Rain Bird nozzles. This allows the nozzle to be selected according to the required throw distance, watering pattern and shape of the irrigation area.

The same spray body can therefore be used for different sections of an irrigation system simply by selecting the appropriate compatible Rain Bird nozzle.

Installation and alignment

The Rain Bird US-400 is designed for permanent underground installation and connects to the irrigation system through its 1/2-inch female threaded bottom inlet. A suitable flexible connection or swing joint can be used between the sprinkler and the underground irrigation pipe.

After installation, the ratcheting stem can be rotated to align the nozzle with the required irrigation area. Internal components are accessible from the top for convenient servicing and maintenance.
