16 mm push fittings for garden irrigation
16 mm PE push fittings provide a simple way to connect suitable irrigation pipes. This compact pipe size works well for planted areas, smaller distribution lines and systems where water needs to be routed directly to specific areas of the garden.
A 16 mm line can branch from a larger main pipe and distribute water along beds or hedges. Depending on the connection system, push fittings allow these smaller irrigation lines to be assembled quickly without conventional compression joints.
Suitable for drip and micro irrigation
Smaller pipe sizes are commonly used in drip and micro irrigation systems. A 16 mm supply pipe can carry water towards individual drippers, micro tubing and other compatible irrigation components.
Consider the total water requirement of all connected outlets. For long pipe runs or a larger number of drippers, several 16 mm distribution lines supplied from a larger main pipe may provide a better system layout.
Branch and redirect 16 mm pipes
Straight push fittings extend an existing 16 mm irrigation pipe. Elbows make it possible to route the pipe around corners or along bed edges, while tees create branches towards additional planted areas.
This makes the pipe layout easy to adapt to the garden. Depending on the irrigation system, transitions to micro tubing, threaded connections or other pipe sizes may also be available. Always check that each fitting is designed for the pipe being used.
Install 16 mm irrigation pipes yourself
Cut the pipe cleanly and squarely before installation. Use a suitable pipe cutter and avoid crushing the pipe end. The pipe can then be connected using the intended push fitting system according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Once installed, test the complete irrigation line and check all connections, drippers and micro sprinklers. Drip and micro irrigation systems may also require suitable filtration and pressure regulation depending on the installed components.
