Pressure-regulated pop-up sprays
Pressure-regulated pop-up sprays maintain the water pressure at the sprinkler at a specified level and support consistent water distribution. They are particularly suitable for automatic lawn irrigation systems using spray nozzles or rotary nozzles.

Pressure-regulated pop-up sprays for lawns
Pressure-regulated pop-up sprays feature an integrated pressure regulator inside the sprinkler body. It reduces excessive inlet pressure to the level specified for the particular model. Under suitable conditions, this helps spray or rotary nozzles operate more consistently and distribute water evenly across the lawn.
Correct water pressure is important for the performance of an irrigation system. If the pressure is too high, conventional spray nozzles can produce excessively fine droplets that are more susceptible to wind. Pressure regulation directly at the pop-up spray helps keep the nozzle within its intended operating range.
Regulated pressure directly at the sprinkler
In larger lawn irrigation systems, pressure conditions can vary between different parts of the installation. Pressure-regulated pop-up sprays limit the pressure directly at each sprinkler. This is particularly useful when several spray bodies operate within one irrigation zone and the installed nozzles require a specific operating pressure.
The integrated regulator cannot increase inlet pressure that is too low. The water supply, PE pipes, solenoid valves and irrigation zones must therefore be correctly sized. When planning your system, always check the pressure and flow requirements of the spray bodies and nozzles you intend to use.
Combine spray and rotary nozzles
Depending on the model, pressure-regulated spray bodies can be combined with different types of nozzles. Conventional spray nozzles are particularly suitable for smaller lawn areas and shorter watering distances. Rotary nozzles distribute water through rotating streams and can provide different watering radii and precipitation rates depending on the nozzle.
Choose a pressure-regulated spray body with an outlet pressure that matches the requirements of the selected nozzle. Not every nozzle performs optimally at the same pressure. Check the manufacturer's recommended operating pressure to combine the spray body and nozzle correctly for your lawn irrigation system.
Install pressure-regulated pop-up sprays
Connect the pop-up sprays to the PE pipework of your irrigation system using suitable sprinkler connections. Flexible connections make accurate positioning and height adjustment easier. You can then install the required nozzle and adjust its watering arc and radius according to the options provided by the particular model.
Solenoid valves allow you to divide the installation into separate irrigation zones, while an irrigation controller automates the watering schedule. With correctly sized pipework, suitable nozzles and pressure-regulated pop-up sprays, you can install your own automatic lawn irrigation system and achieve more consistent water distribution.
