Valve fittings for solenoid valves
With the right fittings, you can integrate solenoid valves securely and neatly into your automatic irrigation system. They provide the connection between the valve, manifold and the PE pipes leading to the individual irrigation zones. Depending on your system layout, you can use them to install individual valves or complete valve assemblies in a clear and organised way.
When choosing fittings, pay particular attention to the thread size of the solenoid valve and the diameter of your pipes. Common solenoid valves, for example, often have 1″ female threaded connections. With the appropriate fittings, you can connect your pipes or other components of the irrigation system to the valve.
Easy installation of solenoid valves
A well-planned fitting system makes installing your valve assembly considerably easier. The individual solenoid valves can be neatly connected to the water supply and the respective irrigation zones. This allows you to control lawn irrigation, drip irrigation and other areas of your garden independently.
Before installation, plan how many solenoid valves will be installed in your valve box and in which direction the pipes will run. This allows you to select suitable fittings, elbows, tees and other connections. A well-organised layout not only makes installation easier but also simplifies future modifications to your irrigation system.
Connecting PE pipes securely to valves
Suitable fittings and compression fittings are available for connecting solenoid valves to PE pipes. For example, you can connect 25 or 32 mm PE pipes to your valve assembly. The pipe is cut cleanly and straight using a pipe cutter and then installed according to the type of fitting used.
Make sure that the pipe diameter, thread and fitting are compatible with each other. After installation, test the system under water pressure and check all connections for leaks. Only then should the valve box be installed in its final position or the area around the pipes be filled in.
Easy maintenance and replacement
A major advantage of suitable solenoid valve fittings is easier maintenance. If a solenoid valve needs to be cleaned, inspected or replaced later, a detachable connection is much easier to remove than a poorly planned permanent installation. A well-designed installation is particularly beneficial inside a valve box.
With suitable solenoid valves, fittings, PE pipe fittings and a sufficiently large valve box, you can build your own valve manifold. Allow enough space between the individual components and make sure that fittings and solenoids remain easily accessible from above. This will also make future maintenance of your irrigation system considerably easier.
