Rain Bird pop-up sprays for lawns
Rain Bird pop-up spray sprinklers are a practical solution for automatic irrigation of small to medium-sized lawn areas. The spray bodies are permanently installed below ground level and rise when the irrigation system is operating. When watering stops, they retract and remain almost invisible in the lawn.
A major advantage is the combination of a separate spray body and nozzle. This allows you to equip the Rain Bird pop-up spray according to the size and shape of each lawn area. Different spray and rotary nozzles can be used to adapt the watering arc, radius and water distribution to your irrigation plan.
Rain Bird pop-up sprays and nozzles
The Rain Bird pop-up body provides the underground housing, while the installed nozzle determines how the water is distributed. This gives you a flexible system for different garden areas because the appropriate nozzle can be selected according to the required watering pattern and radius.
Different spray nozzles are available for conventional spray irrigation with various watering arcs and distances. For suitable applications, Rain Bird spray bodies can also be combined with R VAN rotary nozzles. Always make sure that the spray body, nozzle, available water pressure and required radius are suitable for each other.
Plan the watering arc and radius
For even lawn irrigation, position your Rain Bird pop-up sprays according to the shape of the area. Suitable part-circle nozzles can be used in corners and along lawn edges, while other nozzle configurations can cover larger sectors or suitable areas within the lawn.
Plan the sprinklers so that their watering patterns overlap appropriately. This helps provide more even water distribution and reduces dry areas between individual sprinklers. Also consider the available water pressure and flow rate when deciding how many spray sprinklers should operate within the same irrigation zone.
Install Rain Bird pop-up sprays yourself
You can connect Rain Bird pop-up spray sprinklers to the PE pipework of your irrigation system using suitable sprinkler connections. Flexible connections make it easier to position each spray body and adjust its installation height. Install the body so that its top is correctly aligned with the finished lawn surface.
After installation, fit the appropriate nozzle and adjust the watering pattern and radius according to the specific model. Solenoid valves can separate your irrigation system into individual zones, while an irrigation controller automates the watering schedule. This allows you to build your Rain Bird lawn irrigation system step by step and expand it later when required.
