Threaded fittings with female and male threads
PE pipe threaded fittings provide an easy transition between pipes and components with threaded connections. Depending on the required connection, fittings with female or male threads are available. This allows you to connect PE pipes to solenoid valves, filters, pressure regulators, manifolds and other components of your irrigation system.
When choosing fittings, pay attention to both the diameter of your pipe and the required thread size. This allows you to combine different pipe sizes and connections correctly. With the right threaded fittings, you can create a well-organised irrigation system and easily expand or modify it later if required.
Threaded fittings for irrigation systems
Threaded fittings are practical components when building an irrigation system. Couplings, nipples, elbows, tees, reducers and other threaded fittings allow you to connect different components. They are particularly useful in areas where several connections need to be combined within a limited space.
Threaded fittings are commonly used around solenoid valves, valve boxes, filters and manifolds. Different thread sizes can be connected using suitable reducers. This allows you to customise your system layout and combine existing components with new pipes and fittings.
Manifold fittings for solenoid valves
Manifold fittings allow you to connect several solenoid valves to create a well-organised valve assembly. This is particularly useful when your automatic irrigation system consists of several irrigation zones. The individual valves can be connected compactly and installed together in a suitable valve box.
Another advantage is easier maintenance. With suitable fittings, individual solenoid valves can often be disconnected, inspected or replaced without having to dismantle the entire manifold. Allow sufficient space so that the solenoids, fittings and control cables remain easily accessible from above.
Connecting PE pipes securely to threaded components
Threaded fittings complement PE compression fittings wherever your pipe needs to connect to a threaded component. First cut the PE pipe cleanly and straight to the required length using a pipe cutter. Then install the appropriate fitting according to its design and connect it to the threaded fitting or required component.
Before installation, always check the pipe diameter, whether a female or male thread is required, and the correct thread size. Use a suitable thread seal for the respective connection and test the completed installation under water pressure. This allows you to connect PE pipes, manifolds and solenoid valves step by step to create a reliable irrigation system yourself.
