24 V solenoid valves for mains power
24 V solenoid valves are the classic solution for automatic irrigation systems with a permanent power supply. Connected to a compatible irrigation controller by control cable, they provide reliable automatic operation of individual irrigation zones.

24 V solenoid valves for irrigation systems
24 V solenoid valves automatically open and close individual irrigation zones. They are connected to a compatible irrigation controller and are particularly suitable for permanently installed systems in home gardens, larger green areas and extensive sprinkler installations.
This allows lawns, beds, hedges, drip irrigation and micro irrigation to be divided into separate zones. The controller activates the valve assigned to each zone, allowing individual watering schedules and runtimes to be programmed.
Connect 24 V valves to an irrigation controller
In a conventional irrigation system, the solenoid valves are connected to the controller using multi-core control cable. Each valve normally has its own station wire, while several valves can share a common wire. Always follow the wiring instructions provided by the manufacturer.
The irrigation controller itself requires a power supply and then controls the 24 V solenoids. Depending on the controller, several irrigation zones can be operated automatically with different start times, runtimes and watering days.
Valves for different irrigation zones
24 V solenoid valves can control many different parts of an automatic garden irrigation system. One valve may supply several pop-up rotors, while another zone can operate pop-up sprays, dripline or a micro irrigation system.
Select the valve according to the required flow rate, operating pressure and connection size. Drip and micro irrigation zones may also require filtration and pressure regulation. Suitable valves with flow control provide additional adjustment directly at the valve.
Install 24 V solenoid valves yourself
Solenoid valves are commonly installed in an accessible valve box. Suitable valve fittings and PE pipe connectors make it possible to integrate them into the irrigation pipework. Follow the specified flow direction and leave enough space for future maintenance.
Before purchasing, make sure the irrigation controller and 24 V solenoid are electrically compatible. Battery-powered controllers commonly require suitable 9 V latching solenoids instead. With compatible valves, fittings and a controller, you can build your own automatic irrigation system step by step.
