The Rain Bird XCZ-075-PRF is a preassembled combination of a 24V solenoid valve, fine screen filter and pressure regulator for drip and micro irrigation systems. The kit performs three essential control-zone functions: automatic on/off water control, filtration and pressure regulation.

Its matched components make the XCZ-075-PRF particularly suitable for automatic irrigation systems operating at low flow rates. The compact configuration reduces the number of individual components and connections required inside a valve box.

24V solenoid valve for low flow rates

The integrated Rain Bird Low Flow valve is specifically designed for irrigation zones operating at low flow rates. The complete XCZ-075-PRF has an operating flow range of 0.8-18.9 l/min, corresponding to approximately 48-1,134 l/h.

The solenoid operates at 24 VAC and can be controlled by compatible Rain Bird irrigation controllers and other suitable 24V irrigation controllers. The controller automatically opens and closes the valve according to the programmed irrigation schedule.

Integrated 2.1 bar pressure regulator

A pressure-regulating RBY filter is installed downstream of the valve. Its integrated regulator provides a nominal outlet pressure of 30 psi or approximately 2.1 bar, supplying downstream drip and micro irrigation components with controlled water pressure.

The specified inlet pressure range is 1.4-10.3 bar. Sufficient inlet pressure is required to maintain the regulated outlet pressure, with the required inlet pressure depending on the current flow rate.

75 micron filter protects downstream components

The integrated RBY screen filter contains a 200 mesh stainless steel screen providing 75 micron filtration. Fine contaminants are captured before they can reach drippers, dripline, micro-sprays or other sensitive irrigation components.

The screen is accessible for routine maintenance and cleaning. If damaged, it can be replaced separately with the Rain Bird RBY-200SSMX replacement screen.

Fewer components and connections

A major advantage of the XCZ-075-PRF is its compact combination of control-zone functions. Instead of installing a solenoid valve, filter and pressure regulator as separate components, the kit is supplied as a preassembled, matched unit.

This configuration requires less space inside the valve box and reduces the number of connections. Installation is therefore simplified while fewer connections also mean fewer potential leakage points.
