The tool does more than simply insert emitters. It can also be used to remove previously installed Xeri-Bug emitters, insert ¼" barbed fittings and install goof plugs to close unused holes.
Easy installation of Xeri-Bug emitters
For installation, the Xeri-Bug emitter is positioned on the designated end of the Xeriman tool. The self-piercing barb is then pushed through the sidewall of the drip tubing. When the tool is pulled away, the emitter remains securely installed in the tubing.
This makes it easy to add emitters exactly where individual plants, shrubs or other areas require additional water. The XM-TOOL is particularly useful when numerous emitters need to be installed throughout a larger drip irrigation system.
Multiple functions in one tool
The Xeriman tool is not limited to installing emitters. Rain Bird combines several installation and maintenance functions in a single tool. It can remove installed Xeri-Bug emitters and can also be used to install ¼" barb couplings and ¼" barb tees.
