Compression fittings for sprinkler connections
Compression fittings provide a practical way to connect pipes and other components within your lawn irrigation system. Depending on the design, they can be used with PE pipes, flexible connection lines and transitions to pop-up rotors or spray sprinklers. They allow you to create reliable connections without complicated installation methods.
Suitable fittings are particularly important when connecting individual sprinklers. An outlet can be created from the PE main pipe using a tapping saddle and then connected to the sprinkler with flex pipe or another suitable line. Compatible compression fittings provide secure connections between the individual components.
Straight fittings, elbows and tees
Different types of compression fittings are available depending on the layout of your irrigation system. Straight connectors can join or extend suitable pipes, elbows allow you to change the direction of a line and tee fittings can be used to create additional branches within the irrigation pipework.
This makes it easier to adapt the pipe layout to the shape of your garden. Always select fittings according to the outside diameter of the pipe being used. The fitting and pipe must match correctly to create a reliable seal and withstand the operating pressure of your irrigation system.
Compression fittings with threaded connections
Compression fittings with male or female threads provide a transition between irrigation pipes and components with threaded connections. Depending on your system, they can be used to connect pop-up sprinklers, tapping saddles or other irrigation components to suitable pipework.
Before installation, check both the pipe diameter and the required thread size. Suitable thread sealing may also be required depending on the connection. Choosing the correct adapters makes it easy to combine different components and create reliable connections throughout your lawn irrigation system.
Install sprinkler connections yourself
Start by cutting the pipe cleanly and squarely with suitable pipe cutters. The pipe is then inserted and secured according to the design of the fitting. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and make sure that the pipe is fully and correctly seated inside the connector.
After installation, test the irrigation system for leaks under operating pressure. With suitable PE pipes, tapping saddles, flex pipes and compression fittings, you can create sprinkler connections yourself and easily expand or adapt your automatic lawn irrigation system later.
