50 mm compression fittings for large PE pipes
50 mm PE compression fittings are used where larger pipe diameters need to be connected reliably within an irrigation system. They are suitable for corresponding 50 mm PE pipes and are particularly useful for main supply lines carrying high water flow rates to different irrigation areas.
This pipe size is commonly considered for extensive gardens, landscaped areas and sports field irrigation. Compatible compression fittings allow the pipe layout to be adapted to the installation without requiring complicated joining methods.
Connect and branch irrigation main lines
Straight 50 mm connectors join suitable sections of PE pipe, while elbows provide changes in direction. Tees can create branches from a main line to additional pipe runs or irrigation areas.
Threaded versions can also provide transitions to manifolds, valves and other suitable components. Always make sure the outside pipe diameter, thread size and pressure rating correspond to the selected fitting and irrigation system.
Install 50 mm PE fittings correctly
Before assembly, cut the PE pipe cleanly and as squarely as possible. Check the cut end and remove any burrs that could interfere with installation. Insert and secure the pipe according to the instructions for the particular compression fitting.
Careful assembly is especially important on main lines carrying larger volumes of water. Once installation is complete, fill the system and check every connection for leaks under the intended operating pressure.
Build larger irrigation pipe networks
With 50 mm PE pipe and compatible compression fittings, larger irrigation systems can be assembled in a modular way. Smaller pipes can branch from the main supply line towards solenoid valves, pop-up sprinklers and individual irrigation zones.
Determine the required flow rate before selecting the pipe layout and fittings. This makes it easier to choose suitable connectors, elbows, tees and threaded transitions and create an irrigation system that can also be extended later.
