Valve boxes for multiple solenoid valves
A valve box provides a protected and organised location for the solenoid valves in your automatic irrigation system. Depending on the size of the box, you can install a single valve or several solenoid valves together. This allows you to bring together different irrigation zones for lawn irrigation, drip irrigation or micro irrigation in one central and easily accessible location.
Before installation, it is best to plan how many solenoid valves you need and whether you may want to expand your irrigation system later. A sufficiently large valve box provides enough space for valves, fittings and pipe connections. With a little planning, you can build the complete valve manifold yourself and connect your individual irrigation zones in a clear and organised way.
Pre-cut openings for PE pipes
Pre-cut pipe openings make it easier to route PE pipes into the valve box. You only open the areas that you actually need for your pipes. This allows you to route the main line and individual irrigation zones neatly into the box and connect them to the solenoid valves using suitable fittings and PE pipe fittings.
First position the valve box in its intended location and plan the pipe routes before cutting the pipes to their final lengths. PE pipes can be cut cleanly using a pipe cutter and then installed using compression fittings or threaded fittings. This makes it easy to install the complete setup yourself, even if you are building your first irrigation system.
Protect solenoid valves and keep them accessible
The valve box protects your solenoid valves and connections underground while keeping them accessible for maintenance. The lid provides convenient access from above to valves, solenoids, cable connections and fittings. This means you do not have to dig up your irrigation pipes again when adjustments or maintenance are required later.
A lockable lid ensures that the box remains securely closed. At the same time, you can open it whenever necessary to inspect or replace a solenoid valve. This makes a valve box an important part of a well-planned automatic garden irrigation system with an irrigation controller and multiple irrigation zones.
Install valve boxes almost invisibly underground
Valve boxes are installed in the ground so that the lid remains accessible from above. When installed in a lawn or garden bed, the box is barely noticeable while your solenoid valves remain accessible at all times. This provides a neat installation without exposed valves and pipe connections in your garden.
Install the valve box so that it sits securely and the lid can still be opened easily once the surrounding landscaping is complete. You can then restore the surrounding lawn or garden bed. This keeps solenoid valves, fittings and control cables neatly hidden underground and gives you a professional irrigation system that you can install and maintain yourself.
