Rain Bird Falcon 6504-PC-SAM for large turf areas
The Rain Bird Falcon 6504-PC is a high-performance gear-driven pop-up rotor designed for large lawns, sports fields, parks, schools and commercial landscapes. Its adjustable 40° to 360° watering arc provides considerably more flexibility than a dedicated full-circle rotor.
With a radius of approximately 12 to 20 m, the Falcon 6504-PC is designed for large irrigation layouts where longer sprinkler spacing and higher flow rates are required.
Adjustable 40° to 360° arc
PC stands for Part Circle. The watering arc can be adjusted from approximately 40° to 360°, making the rotor suitable for corners, boundaries and irregularly shaped large turf areas.
Arc adjustment is performed from the top of the installed rotor with a flat-blade screwdriver, allowing the watering pattern to be changed without removing the sprinkler.
PC compared with FC
The Falcon 6504-PC uses a reversing arc mechanism and can be adjusted from 40° up to 360°. The Falcon 6504-FC is a dedicated continuous full-circle rotor.
If adjustable coverage is required, the PC version provides greater flexibility. For a permanent 360° position in the middle of an open turf area, the FC version is specifically designed for that application.
Three-port Rain Curtain nozzle technology
Colour-coded Rain Curtain nozzles use three water outlets to distribute water through the close-in, mid-range and long-range portions of the watering pattern.
Large droplets improve wind resistance, while effective close-in watering helps prevent dry areas around the rotor. This distribution pattern is particularly useful when sprinklers are installed at wider spacings.
Integrated SAM check valve
The Falcon 6504 Series includes Rain Bird's Seal-A-Matic check valve as standard. It holds approximately 3.1 m of elevation difference and helps prevent low-head drainage after the irrigation system shuts down.
This reduces puddling, erosion and unnecessary water loss around lower sprinkler positions on sloping landscapes.
Installation and water requirements
The Falcon 6504-PC uses a 1-inch female threaded inlet and is available with NPT or BSP threads. A properly sized swing joint or flexible rotor connection is recommended for installation.
Depending on nozzle and operating pressure, flow ranges from approximately 0.66 to 4.93 m³/h. Water supply, pipe diameter and available dynamic pressure should therefore be checked carefully when designing a zone with multiple Falcon rotors.

Accessories and frequently asked questions
Which nozzles are available for the Falcon 6504-PC?
The Falcon Series uses colour-coded Rain Curtain nozzles including sizes 04, 06, 08, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. Different nozzle sizes allow flow and irrigation performance to be matched to the available water supply and sprinkler layout.
Are nozzles included?
Packaging varies by market and distributor. Rain Bird currently offers F4PC packages with Rain Curtain nozzles, while manufacturer identification for B65001 has also historically described the rotor as supplied without a pre-installed nozzle. The exact European package contents should therefore be checked before specifying a fixed nozzle quantity in the shop.
Can the Falcon 6504-PC operate at 360°?
Yes. The adjustable arc extends up to 360°. Unlike the dedicated FC model, the PC uses its reversing arc mechanism.
Does it include a SAM check valve?
Yes. SAM is standard on the Falcon 6504 Series and holds approximately 3.1 m of elevation difference.
What is the difference between the PC and FC versions?
The PC provides adjustable 40° to 360° coverage, while the FC is designed exclusively for continuous 360° full-circle operation.
What installation accessories are recommended?
A suitable 1-inch connection, adequately sized irrigation pipe and a heavy-duty swing joint or flexible rotor connection are recommended. The water supply must also provide sufficient flow at the required dynamic pressure.
