Rain Bird PC-12 dark brown drip emitter 45.42 l/h for micro irrigation - pack of 5
Individual drippers for targeted irrigation
Individual drippers are ideal when you want to supply specific plants with water instead of irrigating an entire area. Water is delivered directly where it is needed, making these emitters particularly useful for potted plants, shrubs, individual vegetables, raised beds and areas with irregular plant spacing.
You can position individual drippers according to the watering requirements and arrangement of your plants. Depending on the system, emitters can be installed directly on a supply pipe or connected with micro tubing leading to each plant. This makes it easy to include irregularly planted areas in an automatic drip irrigation system.
Fixed and adjustable drip emitters
Individual drip emitters are available with different flow rates. Fixed flow emitters deliver a specified amount of water under their intended operating conditions. Depending on the model, adjustable drippers allow you to change the water flow directly at the emitter and adapt it more closely to the requirements of individual plants.
For reliable irrigation, match the emitters, operating pressure and watering duration to your system. In larger installations, pressure compensating emitters can provide more consistent water delivery along longer lines or across certain elevation changes. Always check the technical specifications of the selected emitter.
Ideal for pots, beds and raised beds
Individual drippers provide excellent flexibility for plants that are not arranged in regular rows. On patios and balconies, several pots can be supplied from a common irrigation line. In raised beds, individual watering points can be positioned close to tomatoes, herbs, vegetables and other plants.
Drippers can also be positioned around shrubs and larger individual plants according to their root area. Plants with higher watering requirements may benefit from more than one watering point depending on their size and growing conditions. This allows water distribution to be adapted more precisely to your planting layout.
Install individual drippers yourself
Depending on the system, you will need a supply pipe, micro tubing, suitable connectors and the required individual drippers. Position each watering point where your plants actually need water. Stakes and fixing accessories can help keep the micro tubing and emitters securely in the required position.
A suitable filter helps protect the small water passages from contaminants, while a pressure regulator can provide the required operating pressure when necessary. An irrigation controller can automate your watering times. This allows you to build a flexible drip irrigation system for your plants step by step.
