Complete control zone for drip irrigation

The Rain Bird XCZ-100-PRF is a preassembled combination of a 24V solenoid valve, fine screen filter and pressure regulator for automatic drip and micro irrigation systems. One compact assembly therefore provides automatic water control, filtration and pressure regulation for an irrigation zone.

The individual components are matched and preassembled, reducing the number of separate components and connections required and allowing space-saving installation inside a valve box.

24V solenoid valve for automatic irrigation

The integrated Rain Bird solenoid valve controls the water supply to the irrigation zone. Its 24V solenoid allows the valve to be automatically opened and closed by a compatible irrigation controller.

When the controller activates the corresponding station, the valve opens and allows water to flow to the drip or micro irrigation system. At the end of the programmed irrigation time, the water supply is automatically shut off again.

Integrated 2.8 bar pressure regulator

The integrated pressure regulator reduces water pressure to a nominal 40 psi or approximately 2.8 bar. This supplies downstream dripline, drippers, micro-sprays and other components with controlled operating pressure.

Rain Bird specifies an inlet pressure range of 1.4-10.3 bar. Sufficient inlet pressure must be available to maintain reliable pressure regulation at the current flow rate.

75 micron filter protects the irrigation system

The integrated RBY screen filter contains a 200 mesh stainless steel screen providing 75 micron filtration. Fine contaminants are captured before they can reach sensitive drip and micro irrigation components.

The filter screen is accessible for routine maintenance and can be removed and cleaned. If damaged, the filter element can be replaced separately.

Designed for medium flow rates

The XCZ-100-PRF is designed for medium flow applications and provides considerably greater flow capacity than the smaller XCZ-075-PRF. Rain Bird specifies an operating range of 11.4-56.8 l/min, corresponding to approximately 684-3,408 l/h or 0.68-3.41 m³/h.

This makes the 1" version suitable for larger drip irrigation zones where several dripline runs or a greater number of drippers and micro-sprays are supplied by a single irrigation zone.
