Pressure-compensating 6-outlet Xeri-Bug
The Rain Bird XB-10-6 Xeri-Bug combines a pressure-compensating emitter with six outlets for micro tubing. This allows up to six plants or individual watering points to be supplied from a single connection. The black XB-10-6 has a nominal flow rate of 3.79 l/h, commonly rounded to approximately 4 l/h.
The 6-outlet distributor is particularly suitable for flower beds, shrubs, groups of plants, containers and other areas where several individual watering points need to be supplied from one central location. Compatible ¼" distribution tubing can be connected to the outlets and routed individually to each plant.
Connect up to six micro tubes
The XB-10-6 features a total of six outlets. Only one outlet is open when supplied. If additional connections are required, the closed tips of the remaining outlets can be clipped off using suitable scissors or clippers. This allows you to activate only the number of outlets actually required for your irrigation system.
¼" distribution tubing can be connected to the opened outlets. Rain Bird XQ micro tubing, including XQ-100 and XQ-1000, is particularly suitable. With approximately 4.3 mm inside diameter and 6.3 mm outside diameter, this tubing is commonly referred to as 4/6 mm micro tubing.
Consistent water delivery at approximately 4 l/h
The XB-10-6 is more than a simple distributor. A pressure-compensating Xeri-Bug emitter is integrated into the housing. Rain Bird specifies a nominal flow rate of 3.79 l/h or 1.0 GPH, which can conveniently be rounded to approximately 4 l/h in the product name.
Pressure compensation provides largely uniform water delivery throughout the specified operating pressure range of 1.0 to 3.5 bar. This makes the XB-10-6 particularly suitable for micro irrigation systems where several watering points need to be supplied reliably through one central distributor.
Self-flushing and suitable for outdoor use
The self-flushing design supports reliable operation and helps reduce the risk of deposits inside the emitter. Rain Bird specifies required filtration of 100 microns or 150 mesh for the XB-10-6.
The rugged plastic housing is UV-resistant and designed for long-term use in irrigation systems. The black color coding also makes the approximately 4 l/h XB-10-6 easy to distinguish from other flow variants in the Multi-Outlet Xeri-Bug range.
Easy installation in micro irrigation systems
The XB-10-6 features a barb inlet and can be installed directly into suitable drip or PE distribution tubing. The Rain Bird XM-TOOL Xeriman installation tool can be used for quick and convenient installation.
With six individually activated outlets, several micro tubes can be routed from one central point to individual plants. This reduces the number of separate connection points required on the larger distribution line and helps create a neat and organized micro irrigation system.
