Filtration and pressure regulation in one unit

The Rain Bird IPRB100 combines a high-capacity basket filter with an integrated pressure regulator for irrigation systems. Water is filtered while the downstream pressure is regulated to 2.8 bar (40 psi). Stainless steel filtration for irrigation systems

Inside the IPRB100 is a removable stainless steel filter screen. It captures particles before they can reach drippers, dripline, micro-sprays or other irrigation components with small water passages.

The basket is removed vertically for cleaning. Its design helps prevent collected debris from falling back into the downstream pipe during maintenance. The threaded top provides convenient access to the filter element without removing the complete unit from the irrigation line.

Integrated 2.8 bar pressure regulation

In addition to filtration, the Rain Bird IPRB100 regulates the downstream water pressure. Its integrated regulator is factory preset to an outlet pressure of 2.8 bar (40 psi), eliminating the need for a separate adjustable pressure regulator.

The filter is therefore suitable for irrigation components designed to operate within the corresponding pressure range. The inlet pressure required to maintain the regulated outlet pressure depends on the flow rate through the unit.

1" BSP connections for international systems

The IPRB100 is the international version of the Rain Bird pressure-regulating basket filter and features 1" male BSP threads. This distinguishes it from the PRB100 version using NPT threads and makes the IPRB100 suitable for systems using corresponding BSP threaded fittings.

Combining filtration and pressure regulation also allows a more compact control-zone layout. Fewer individual components mean fewer threaded connections and can simplify both installation and maintenance.

Designed for drip and micro irrigation

Reliable filtration is particularly important in drip irrigation because small water passages can be sensitive to contamination. At the same time, many low-volume irrigation components require controlled water pressure. The IPRB100 performs both functions within a single unit.
