Rain Bird 200-PGA-9V professional battery-operated irrigation valve

The Rain Bird 200-PGA-9V is a heavy-duty professional irrigation valve designed for large automatic irrigation systems using battery-operated control. A compatible controller designed specifically for latching solenoids is required. This version should not be connected directly to a conventional 24 VAC irrigation controller output.

2-inch BSP female connections

The European I-200-PGA-9V features 2-inch BSP female connections on both inlet and outlet. This allows the valve to be integrated into large irrigation manifolds and distribution pipes without reducing the pipe size at the valve.

Flow capacity up to 34.05 m³/h

Without the optional PRS-D module, Rain Bird specifies a flow range of 0.45 to 34.05 m³/h, equivalent to approximately 7.8 to 568 l/min.

Actual available flow depends on dynamic water pressure, pipe diameter, pipe length and the combined water requirements of the sprinklers operating within the zone.

Integrated flow control

The 200-PGA-9V includes adjustable flow control. The non-rising handle allows water flow to be restricted directly at the valve, helping to hydraulically balance large irrigation zones.

Flow control adjusts water quantity but does not automatically regulate downstream pressure.

Optional PRS-D pressure regulation

The PGA Series accepts the optional Rain Bird PRS-D pressure-regulating module. This allows downstream pressure to be adjusted directly at the valve when the connected sprinklers require controlled operating pressure.

With PRS-D installed, Rain Bird specifies a flow range of 1.14 to 34.05 m³/h.

Heavy-duty PGA construction

The PGA Series uses durable PVC and glass-reinforced nylon construction with a reinforced diaphragm. Filtered pilot flow helps protect the control passages against debris, while controlled closing helps reduce water hammer.

These characteristics are particularly valuable in large irrigation systems where substantial water volumes can place greater loads on pipes and fittings.

Flexible installation

Installation and accessories
