Smart irrigation control for six zones

The Rain Bird RC2I6-230V is a smart irrigation controller for six independent irrigation zones. Designed specifically for protected indoor installation, this compact controller combines reliable automatic irrigation with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. No separate LNK2 WiFi module is required.

Six stations allow lawns, planting areas, hedges and drip irrigation systems to be divided into individual watering circuits and controlled according to their specific requirements.

Built-in Wi-Fi and app control

Wi-Fi is integrated directly into the RC2. The controller supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and can be conveniently managed using the Rain Bird app. With internet access available, supported functions can also be controlled remotely.

Bluetooth Low Energy and a direct hotspot connection are also available for convenient local setup and access.

Six independent irrigation zones

Each of the six stations normally controls one 24V AC irrigation valve. Multiple sprinklers or drip irrigation components can operate downstream of each valve.

The number of sprinklers that can operate simultaneously depends on available water pressure, flow and their combined water demand.

Three programs and up to twelve start times

The RC2 provides three independent programs with four start times per program, allowing up to twelve start times in total.

Station run times range from 1 minute to 6 hours. Watering can be scheduled using custom weekdays, odd or even calendar days or cyclic intervals from 1 to 30 days.

Seasonal adjustment

Seasonal adjustment from 5 to 200% allows irrigation duration to be adapted to changing seasonal conditions without rebuilding the complete watering schedules.

Designed for 24V AC irrigation valves

The RC2I6-230V controls conventional 24V AC irrigation valves, including suitable 24V versions of Rain Bird HV, DV, DVF, PGA and PEB valves.

Battery-operated 9V DC latching solenoids cannot be connected directly.

230V supply and 24V valve control

The controller uses a 230V AC power supply and provides 24V AC control for the irrigation valves. Rain Bird specifies a maximum output of 0.6A at 24V AC for the indoor models.

Rain sensor and pump-start support

A rain sensor input with bypass capability is provided. Rain Bird lists accessories including the RSD-BEx and WR2 series sensors.

The controller also supports a master valve or pump-start circuit. An irrigation pump requires a suitable external pump-start relay or pump control system.

Permanent program memory

Nonvolatile memory permanently retains the current irrigation programming, so stored watering schedules are not lost during a power interruption.

Compact indoor enclosure

The RC2I6-230V is designed exclusively for protected indoor installation. Its compact enclosure measures approximately 16.7 cm wide, 16.8 cm high and only 4.0 cm deep.
